It is a well known fact that Orange Farm is the home of greatness. It is for this reason that Empowaworx is bringing the youth of Orange Farm and surrounds a jam packed program of incredible keynote speakers, from CEO's and Ministers, to subject experts and motivators. 

The focus will be on the challenge of poverty, unemployment and inequality, both on the ground and online.

What is more exciting is that you can choose to attend the event virtually, this is done to accommodate people who can not make it to Orange Farm but still want to attend.

The first book I read while I was in primary is Nelson Mandela's long walk to freedom . I stole the book from my sister side table and I don't remember returning it😶 In one of his famous quotes Nelson Mandela says " What matters in life is not the mere fact that you have lived, but it is the difference you made in the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life you lead".   When I was in high school I would always glare at the recently graduated alumni who always came back to motivate us. It was only after I left high school that I realised the true value of these high school visits.  We come from Impoverished townships. Education is the only way out. In 2018 while I was staying in Pretoria I met Phakaman Ngcobo through my roommate Mpatho Mthembu. He was studying at TUT at the time and stayed at Telkom Residence where me and Mpathoh used to visit on a regular basis. His room was a good place to learn about the Bible because it was always filled with young student preachers who loved discussing biblical topics & doctrines.  Everytime when we visited Phakaman we would not leave his room without him offering us tea. Sometimes he would not even ask us anything but just prepare the tea and invite us to indulge.  As I grow up I'm beginning to understand and appreciate the value of what Phakamani was doing at the time.  Africans have been moving between locations for thousands of years in search of better living conditions. Sometimes they traveled long distances for days on end without food and proper clean water.  While travelling they would often stumble upon a village in the middle of nowhere and stop to refresh....
