THOUGHTS | Eminem Tops Christian Billboard Charts
I've heard many bad stories about Gospel singers but have since stopped listening after someone made me understand the difference between a musician and a worshiper. Just because someone sings Christian music doesn't mean they know Jesus Christ.
There is a burning topic in America right now. Eminem's song is currently #No1 on the Christian Billboard Charts. Yes you heard right; Christian Billboard!!
If you would have told me 10 Years ago that Eminem would have the #1 song on the Christian Billboard in 2022, i would have laughed you out of the room. Yet here we are.
Jesus told us in many ways that many are going to use his name and we must therefore never be deceived. The main reason behind the song's popularity is not the message about Jesus but the names of the artists attached to the song: Eminem, Kanye West and Dj Khaled.
The writer/singer is not a Christian and the lyrics never mention Christ, which could theologically have been written by a Muslim. Afterall, Many religions believe that Jesus was just an ordinary prophet who was also a good teacher. So hearing a singer calling the name of Jesus should not scare us into believing that the music is non secular.
For argument sake, i do hear 02 references to Christ but non of them attempts to explain what Jesus did or why man must trust in him. These two elements must always be central to the message of Jesus Christ.
It appears that Satan is using the world to twist the Truth of The Word of God and put a "Christian" label on it. Be Vigilant Mzalwane!!
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:v1
